The Knowledge Act bill is already at the Senate

After the swift and favorable treatment of the project in the Chamber of Deputies, it officially entered into the Senate and was assigned to the Finance Commission and the National Economy and Investment Commission, which are expected to treat the bill jointly in the same way as in Deputies.

The project grants tax benefits to knowledge-based industries that have the potential to generate exports, including the development of software, computer services, video games, cloud services, audiovisual production, biotechnology, geological services, exportable professional services, satellite industry and nuclear, robotics, IoT and others.

The tax benefits consist of fiscal stability, reduction of Employer Contributions and the Income Tax rate, exemption from withholdings and perceptions and the possibility of using taxes and withholdings generated by the export of promoted activities, in the form of credits, even lacking an Agreement to Avoid Double Taxation.

Knowledge-based industries and services expect this law with the expectation to consolidate the generation of quality employment and the export of Argentine talent.
